Future Directions of GeneSpeed

The GeneSpeed Database will be constantly evolving. Check this page regularly for updates.

Updating GeneSpeed

Our whole database creation process is repeated on a regular basis utilizing all the most up to date versions of Pfam, Unigene, InterPro, and Gene Ontology. In addition to these regular updates, we plan expand our coverage to other organisms within Unigene, beyond that of M. musculus, H. sapiens, C. elegans and D. melanogaster.

GeneSpeed BetaCell

Another exciting development coming to GeneSpeed in the near future is the establishment of a sister database called GeneSpeed BetaCell. This new database focuses on the custom meta-analysis of micro-arrays with an emphasis on those arrays which cover the developmental time series of pancreatic and other tissue development. Initially, access to this new database and tool set will be reserved for investigators that are collaborating with us or have submitted their developmental time series array data to the site.
